HOLLIS BROWN Gets Loaded : RECORD STORE DAY RELEASE – Starburst Vinyl LIMITED to 500 copies. Stream the album in its entirety on the American Songwriter site. Last December Hollis Brown were invited at the NYC’s Bowery Electric to perform the VU’s 1970 album Loaded, as part as a tribute to the late Lou Reed. What began as a memorial to a fallen legend has now been preserved on wax for the ages. Hollis Brown pays homage to this time-honored album with takes that don’t stray too far from the originals, yet still unfold as beautiful new songs with their own unmistakable rootsy approach.

Order the CLEAR vinyl LTD. ED. of GET PURE here. Amid the current industry of cool, Mount Carmel’s lack of gimmick is a welcome anachronism. The trio’s third album “Get Pure” is full of swagger, packed with great songs and inspired performances. This is true rock music like you haven’t heard in years. "Like the blues, traditional rock ‘n’ roll remains a great musical building block and form. It’ll never be out of date. Mount Carmel shows their devotion to the crunchy riff on ‘Back on It’, a smokin’ tune from their album, "Get Pure". – Popmatters. Album on iTunes here
